On September 30, 2026 the Department of Legal Sciences of the Faculty of Ecology and Law of "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University organized a master class on the topic “Gender, Climate Justice, Cybercrime and International Climate Litigation: Protecting Women’s Human Rights, Digital Security and Environmental Security.”

The event was officially opened with welcoming and introductory remarks by H. Pirmatov, Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Law, and H. Hikmatov, Head of the Department of Legal Sciences. They welcomed the participants and emphasized the relevance of studying contemporary legal challenges related to gender equality, climate justice, digital security, and environmental protection.

The guest speaker of the event was Dr. Pyali Chatterjee, Professor and Head of the Department at MATS Law School, MATS University, India. She shared her academic knowledge, professional experience, and valuable insights on issues related to gender equality, climate justice, human rights, cybercrime, digital security, and environmental protection.

The master class was moderated by A. Khodjayeva, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Sciences. In collaboration with Dr. Pyali Chatterjee, she facilitated a meaningful and interactive discussion, actively engaging students in questions, answers, and the exchange of ideas.

The event was also actively attended by V. Khudayberdiyeva, a lecturer at the Department of Legal Sciences and an advocate for women’s affairs, as well as third- and fourth-year students. The students actively participated in the discussions and asked questions of interest related to the topic.

Students who demonstrated active participation were awarded certificates by the faculty administration. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Pyali Chatterjee was presented with a Letter of Appreciation and a commemorative gift on behalf of the University in recognition of her valuable contribution to strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of scholarly experience.

The master class served as an important platform for strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of scholarly experience between Uzbekistan and India, as well as for broadening students’ knowledge of contemporary legal issues in the fields of international law, environmental law, climate justice, and human rights.
