Environmental education collaborate with NGO
TIIAME National Research University actively collaborates with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to strengthen environmental education, promote sustainability awareness, and engage students in real climate-action initiatives. Through partnerships with NGOs working in the areas of ecology, climate change, and community development, the university creates opportunities for students to participate in field activities, volunteer projects, public campaigns, and educational events. These collaborations allow students to connect academic knowledge with practical environmental solutions, while NGOs benefit from scientific expertise, research support, and youth involvement. Such cooperation plays an important role in shaping environmentally responsible citizens and fostering a culture of community engagement in sustainable development.
The cooperation between the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) and the World Aral Region Charity (WARC) (https://www.aralregioncharity.org/) is focused on addressing environmental issues and engaging youth. As part of this partnership, a forum was held in Tashkent to mark the conclusion of the program. WARC organized this event jointly with TIIAME and plans to continue collaborative initiatives in the future.

The university actively partners with the consulting firm Nazar Business and Technology LLC (NBT) (https://nbt.uz/ )— a Uzbekistan-based company specializing in environmental services, water and soil management, and climate change consulting. Through this collaboration, the institution strengthens its applied research and practical activities in ecological restoration, environmental monitoring, and capacity building for environmental protection.

On 19 July 2024, Nazar Business and Technology LLC (NBT) participated in a three-country workshop titled “New International Educational Program”, conducted in collaboration with Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) in Uzbekistan, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Germany, and a partner university in Kyrgyzstan. The workshop focused on sharing the strengths of each institution in their respective fields and spotlighted the role of renewable energy sources across various economic sectors.

As part of this commission, NBT experts focused not only on the academic quality of programs but also on how environmental sustainability and ecological competencies are integrated into the university curriculum. Their participation contributed to improving the ecological relevance of educational programs, ensuring that future specialists gain strong knowledge in fields such as environmental management, climate change adaptation, and sustainable use of natural resources. Through this collaboration, NBT supported the enhancement of environmentally oriented education and helped strengthen the alignment of university training with international environmental and sustainability standards.
One of the faculty’s students, Komila Abduqodirova, successfully completed a one-year internship at our company. During this time, Komila demonstrated great interest in studying international environmental standards and participated in a grant program. The USAID Regional Water and Environment Project supported public discussions on international and national standards, further enhancing this collaboration!
