         The department of 'State cadastre' was established in 1949 under the title of "Planning and improvement of rural settlements" and was considered one of the specialized departments of the faculty. In 1949-1982 a professor P.Tatur contributed to the establishment and development of the Department. In 1982-1992 the department was headed by candidate of economic sciences, docent B.Tsibizov, in 1992-1999 by candidate of economic sciences, docent A.Bobojonov, in 2000-2004 by candidate of economic sciences, docent I.Musayev. In the development and prosperity of the Department there was contributed a lot of work of former and latter professors as doctor of economic sciences, professor A. Chertovitskii, candidate of economic sciences V.Beshenov, candidate of economic sciences, docent K.Rahmonov, senior teacher T. Ismoilov and docent P. Kunyavskiy. From 2004 to 2012 the head of the Department was candidate of economic sciences, docent I.Musayev. In 2012-2016 the Department was headed by doctor of economic sciences, docent K.Rakhmonov. 

      Department of State cadastre was separated from the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics and from 2017, September 2 it started it`s activity. In 2017-2023, the department will receive a candidate of economic sciences, associate professor K.Rakhmonov was the leader. Since August 31, 2023, the department has been headed by Associate Professor, PhD, U.B.Mukhtorov. Simultaneously with preparing the specialists, it is being paid attention to the  creating a modern database of the state cadastre, rational and efficient use of land resources  which is considered the basics of agricultural reform, also conducting spiritual-educational works among students. Also it is being strengthened the relations between departments of higher educational institutions and universities abroad and in our Republic as well as with industrial and research institutions.
