On December 6, 2019, the Scopus Award – 2019 award ceremony held in the Zarafshan Concert Hall. The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Elsevier Company (Netherlands) announced the names of leading scientists of Uzbekistan and universities that are successfully operating within the Scopus largest scientific and analytical database. The ceremony attended by heads of ministries and organizations, representatives of leading rating agencies such as QS, Times Higher Education, Elsevier specialists, foreign experts, as well as rectors, vice-rectors and doctoral students of higher educational institutions.

The Scopus Award 2019 award ceremony held in 28 nominations, 37 scientists and researchers, 6 universities and 1 scientific journal awarded. For information, on March 23, 2018, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and Elsevier signed the national development program “Science 2020” to enter the ranking of the leading universities in the world.
