Academic-Methodical Department was established in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 415 "On highly qualified staff of agriculture and water resources" on September 3, 2004, and also the corresponding Order of the Institute No. 187 on September 15, 2004, on the basis of integration of Academic-Methodical Department and Academic Department. In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 311 "On measures to further improve the provision of branches of agriculture and water resources with fully qualified and highly educated staff" on November 3, 2015, Academic Department was transformed into Academic-Methodical Department (AMD). AMD organizes all educational processes, and directly belongs to the Vice-rector on Academic Affairs.

AMD provides its activities on the basis of “Law on Education" and "Law on National System of Personnel Training", Decrees of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education, Orders of the Institute`s Rector, First Vice-rector, as well as the Annual Work Plan approved by Vice-rector on Academic Affairs. AMD reports to the Rector, First Vice-rector, Vice-rector on Academic Affairs and Scientific Council of the Institute. Currently, the department is headed by Ph.D. Khodzhaev Dadakhon.
