Campus Food Waste

Starting from 2021, the work of keeping an account of food waste generated in the territory of the university is being carried out.

To date, the university has one summer and one winter kitchen, a total of 7 cafeterias and 2 food stores in educational buildings.

According to the 2022 census, the campus population is 6,048 people, and the amount of food waste generated by them is 19,300 kg.

About 2,500 kg of these wastes were converted into natural fertilizer by the researchers of the Agricultural Mechanization and Hydromelioration Faculties. These fertilizers were used to feed agricultural products grown in the territory of the University "Educational Experimental Farm".
