GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION: FROM A DIGITAL ASSISTANT TO A PERSONAL TUTOR

Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Languages of the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” invites you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Generative Artificial Intelligence In Language Education: From A Digital Assistant To A Personal Tutor”, to be held on 21 November 2026.

The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss the transformation of language education in the age of generative artificial intelligence — from AI as a digital assistant to personalized and adaptive models of teaching and learning.

Conference Aim

To discuss research-based methodological, pedagogical, and technological approaches to the responsible and effective use of generative AI and digital technologies in language education, and to exchange international experience in multilingual, academic, professional, and intercultural communication.

Participants

Researchers, university and vocational education faculty, specialists in linguistics, language teaching methodology, translation and digital education, doctoral and postgraduate researchers, master’s students, early-career researchers, and practitioners are invited to participate.

The programme will include

·        a plenary session with national and international experts;

·        thematic conference sections and research discussions;

·        an expert discussion, “Generative AI: Teacher’s Assistant or Personal Tutor?”;

·        a round table on academic integrity, digital ethics, and responsible AI use;

·        presentations of innovative methodologies, LMS solutions, and research projects.

Paper Requirements

·        length: 4–6 pages; file format: .docx;

·        Times New Roman, 12 pt; 1.5 line spacing; 2 cm margins; 1 cm first-line indent;

·        UDC, author information, affiliation, city, country, and e-mail;

·        article title, abstracts and keywords in Uzbek, Russian, and English;

·        in-text references in square brackets; reference list at the end of the paper;

·        authors are responsible for the accuracy of the materials, proper citation, and originality of the submission.

Additional Requirements

• The article file must be named using the conference track number and the first author's full name;

• Maximum of two authors;

• Articles that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted for publication;

Publication Fee

• For participants from the Republic of Uzbekistan: 150,000 UZS;

• For international participants: publication is free of charge.
