"English language" Department was separated from "Uzbek language and foreign languages" department at the end of December 2013 and began to operate as an independent department from January 2014. The previous department included English, German, French, Uzbek and Russian languages. The professor-teachers of “English language” department within 2014-2018 academic years conducted scientific-pedagogical activities and published a monograph on the topic "Formation of communicative awareness of students in the process of teaching English". The professor-teachers of “English language” department carried out scientific-pedagogical activities regarding SRA (Scientific Research Activities) for 2018-2023 academic years: "Innovative approach forms and methods in the formation of cognitive motivation of students in the process of teaching English”, 3 monographs, 10 textbooks, 5 educational and methodical manuals were designed by them.

Currently, a head of the department, 3 associate professors, 3 senior teachers, 26 teachers and a cabinet manager are working at Department. At the same time, professors of the department are conducting scientific-pedagogical activities on the Scientific Research Activities on "Study of different modern methods and principles of English language teaching and their effective application in the teaching process" within 2024-2029. In this academic year 1 textbook and 1 methodological manual were published. Within the promising action plans, cooperation agreements were also established, agreements on mutual scientific and practical activities were signed with particular departments of more than 10 Higher Educational Institutions and mutual cooperation within the framework of ensuring their implementation activities are being carried out. In addition, an agreement has been established with the Specialized State General Education School № 1, located in Piskent district, Tashkent region on mutual scientific and educational activities and seminar trainings are being conducted by the teachers of the department. The teachers of the department take an active part in the scientific, pedagogical, spiritual and educational activities of university, increase the motivation of students for contributing to their growth in the educational process and become the personnel, who fully meet the international standards. With this aim, 3 types of clubs for students have been organized at the department, which are being conducted by certain certified and experienced teachers. Besides that, teachers of "English Language" department contribute to the preparation of talented students for the Science Olympiad every year. The teachers of the department actively participate in the educational process and university activities.

Taking into account the increasing interest in learning foreign languages day by day, the teachers of the department pay great attention to teaching English. According Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan PD №. 1875 on "Further improvement of the teaching and learning system of foreign languages" dated December 2012, aimed at raising the effectiveness of teaching, increasing the motivation of students to learn English, increasing their interest by supporting their passion for learning English, improving teaching methods and achieving their wider use, high acquisition rates the optimal ways to achieve it are selected and proved scientifically. According to the Decision №. 4947 of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On the Development Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan" adopted on February 7, 2017, it is necessary to radically improve the quality of education, facilitate the in-depth study of foreign languages and form all skills by integrating computers, science and other popular subjects by paying significant attention to their importance. In particular, the implementation of the decision PD-5117 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 19, 2021 "On measures to raise the activity of popularizing the study of foreign languages in the Republic of Uzbekistan to a new level in terms of quality", due to which the level of knowledge of foreign languages of the population is rapidly increasing. During these years, the development of learning foreign languages and its widespread introduction were identified as such priority tasks. In order to ensure the performance of tasks, all professors and teachers of "English Language" department are working regularly and effectively.

Students with the gained knowledge and skills will be able to use communicative speech in English regarding socio-economic, educational and cultural fields. One of the main methods of teaching English is the active use of advanced pedagogical technologies, aimed at forming communicative skills in students. Economic and cultural relations with other countries are expanding as a result of deeper entry of the Republic of Uzbekistan into the system of the global market economy. At the same time, it is aimed at developing students skills and abilities, in-depth study of English language and improving the quality of teaching a foreign language. In the framework of international cooperation, the issue of effective attraction of economic investments to the water management systems of Uzbekistan has been determined based on the demand for specialists, who know English language well and in this context the activities of "English Language" department are important.
