A delegation led by Feng Yifei, Director of  Huawei Corporate Segment Cooperation Department, visited our university to implement the international project. The rector of our university, prof. B. Mirzaev opened the event, where from university side the following representatives particioated: Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Professor Abdukhakim Salokhiddinov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs B. Khudayarov, Head of  Educational and Methodological Department Associate Professor D. Khodjaev, Head of International Cooperation Department Sh. Rakhmonov.

Head of the Department D. Khodjaev made a detailed presentation regarding the concept of a smart university. Then R. Boltaev, a representative of Huawei company provided information about the structure and features of the Smart University. Then it was decided to develop a roadmap for the implementation of the “Smart University” project, by appointing  a person in charge based on a new developed concept.

Universities must adopt smart technologies to transform their processes and use their capabilities to align them with new organizational models. Smart University focuses on improving its technological infrastructure to achieve the goals of education quality. It includes four smart technologies, namely cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and high-speed Internet integration. This description and integration lead to the conclusion that digital technologies need to be aligned with organizational processes that require closer interaction with the  top management of company.
