On June 25–26, 2025 the “First Academic Conference” of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. This prestigious international event was organized at the historic Ybl Villa building in cooperation with the Organization’s Representation Office in Hungary, the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and Innovation and Óbuda University. The main goal of the conference was to strengthen cooperation among Turkic states in Higher Education and scientific research, discuss future initiatives, and expand inter-university relations.

The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of “TIIAME” National Research University, Shokirov Shukhrat Sobirovich, actively participated in this conference. In his presentation, he provided information about the university’s scientific and innovative activities, ongoing international projects and the experience of scientific and academic cooperation with universities within the Organization of Turkic States.

In addition, Sh. Shokirov proposed the creation of an advisory council consisting of representatives from leading universities, embassies, and relevant ministries to implement this initiative. According to his proposal, this council would play a central role in coordinating the foundation’s activities and developing organizational and financial mechanisms. This initiative was widely supported by the conference participants.

At the end of the conference, it was announced that the next meeting is planned to be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, in early 2026. The participants welcomed this initiative and recognized it as an important step toward strengthening scientific and educational ties among the Turkic states.
