In accordance with Resolution N. 11 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 8, 2024, and with the goal of further enhancing the quality and effectiveness of higher education through the integration of theory and practice, a professional internship was organized for 3rd-year students of the “Hydropower Facilities in Irrigation Systems” program at the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering. The internship took place at the Naryn HPP Cascade facilities, located on the Naryn River in Namangan Region. This hands-on training is an essential component in strengthening students' professional knowledge and skills, preparing them to become future specialists in the field.

During the internship, students actively participated in real-world production activities in the following areas:

  • Design and development of structural solutions for hydroelectric power plants

  • Familiarization with the construction stages of hydropower plants, including installation work, building materials, and equipment

  • Observation of hydraulic machinery operations in field conditions and evaluation of their efficiency

  • Introduction to engineering and technical calculations carried out at the sites, along with opportunities to gain initial hands-on experience in performing them

Students also explored modern technologies, advanced construction machinery, and innovative approaches aimed at increasing energy efficiency in the field of hydropower. This experience significantly contributed to the development of their professional capabilities, independent thinking, and on-site problem-solving skills.

As a result of the internship, students enriched their theoretical knowledge with valuable practical experience—an essential step toward their future effectiveness in the fields of irrigation and hydropower.
