International Online seminar held in the framework of the Erasmus+ LESLIE Project

On June 18, 2025, an international online seminar was held as part of the Erasmus+ LESLIE project. The event was organized by the project consortium, with participation from our university’s project coordinator, Mr. Sh. Rakhmonov, and project manager, Mr. I. Bozarov.
During the seminar, Mr. Sh. Rakhmonov delivered a presentation on the topic "Land Use and Land Cover Change in Khorezm, Uzbekistan", highlighting scientific insights into land use patterns and land cover transformations in the Khorezm region.
A total of 61 participants attended the online event, where active discussions took place regarding key issues in environmental education and sustainable land management.
Key topics discussed during the seminar included:
Changes in environmental education and land resource management in Central Asia
Implementation practices of the sustainability concept in higher education
The role of international projects in training environmental specialists
For reference, the LESLIE project consortium consists of 14 partners, including 3 from EU countries (Spain, Italy, Cyprus) and 2 from Central Asia (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan). The project is coordinated by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain.
The seminar served as a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and discussing future collaboration opportunities in the field of environmental sustainability and education.
