Delegation of "TIIAME" National Research University made a visit to University of Debrecen, Hungary

On June 6, 2025 Prof. Shukhrat Shokirov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation at "TIIAME" National Research University and Ilkhom Abdurakhmanov, Head of the Department of International Rankings made a visit to the University of Debrecen, one of Hungary’s leading higher education institutions.
The "TIIAME"National Research University delegation was welcomed by Prof. Endre Harsanyi, Vice-Rector for Sectoral Development in charge of agricultural and food sciences at the University of Debrecen. The meeting was also attended by Oksana Kisil, Director for Coordination and Strategic Affairs and Laszlo Kozma, Program Director at the International Education Coordination Center.
The meeting began with an exchange of information about both universities. Discussions then focused on opportunities for joint scientific projects and co-authorship of research publications in areas such as agriculture and water management, hydraulic engineering, land resources management and geoinformatics, environmental protection and ecology and information technology. The parties also agreed on the future signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured research laboratories and scientific centers at the University of Debrecen, learning about ongoing research outcomes. A meeting was later held with Prof. Szilárd Szabó, Head of the Institute of Geological Sciences, and Associate Professor László Bertalan from the Department of Physical Geography and Geoinformatics. The discussions focused on opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of geoinformatics, geodesy, remote sensing, cadastre, and land management.
