One of the key issues in improving the quality of higher education for training specialists to support the socio-economic development of our society is increasing the involvement of industries and economic sectors, including the consistent implementation of reforms aimed at integrating science and production in the development of hydropower.

In line with the agreement signed between the Department of Pumping Stations and Hydropower Plants and the "Cascade of Tashkent Hydropower Plants" branch, and with the goal of ensuring integration of science, education, and production in the hydropower sector as well as developing a system of dual education—practical training sessions were organized for third-year students specializing in “Hydropower Facilities in Irrigation Systems.” These sessions took place at the Bozsuv, Burjar, Shaykhantokhur, and Aktepa Hydropower Plants.

The sessions were conducted by Faculty Dean L.K. Babajanov, Department Head D.R. Bazarov, and members of the department's teaching staff. It was emphasized that great efforts are being made in Uzbekistan to strengthen the country’s energy independence, ensure the efficient and safe use of existing hydropower plants, and establish new effective electricity-generating organizations—all contributing to the formation of a unified national hydropower sector.
