Spring Festival with Sumalak

On April 3, 2025 "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University hosted a Sumalak, Spring festival in celebration of the Navruz holiday.
The event, took place in the courtyard of the Students Dormitory of the Hydrotechnical Construction Faculty, where the ingredients made from sprouted wheat for Sumalak were added to the cauldron. The faculty’s dean’s assistant, PhD Associate Professor A. Azimov, head of "Mechanics and Computer Modeling" department, academician M.M. Mirsaidov, head of the "Engineering Graphics and Design Theory" department, Philosophy Doctor in Pedagogy, PhD Associate Professor J. Kosimov, and professor R. Ergashev from the "Pump Stations and Hydroelectric Power Stations" department participated in the event.
The process of adding the ingredients for Sumalak to the cauldron is a highly responsible task that requires great skill. The long history of Sumalak means that chefs must have extensive experience to ensure it is cooked deliciously. We hope to taste the delicious Sumalak tomorrow morning!
