Under the leadership of O. Bozorova, an assistant at "Higher Mathematics" department of "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University, students from Agricultural Mechanization 103 group visited the house-museum of the first academic mentor, Kori Niyoziy. As they explored the rich exhibits of the museum, the students became curious about the significant role Qori Niyoziy played in the history of our university and why the street where the university is located is named after him.
It was fascinating for the students to learn that Qori Niyoziy had served as the head of "Higher Mathematics" department at our university. He is also regarded as the founder of Uzbek mathematical terminology, the author of authentic mathematical literature for higher and secondary educational institutions, and a major expert in the history of science. According to the commentator, the mentor has published more than three hundred scientific works, including the monograph "Astronomy School of Ulugbek," which was recognized as a groundbreaking contribution in the field of science and awarded a state prize in 1952.
Our curious students, after learning about the great work left by their mentor, returned with pride, realizing that they are studying at an institution where such remarkable individuals have made their mark.
