One of the important issues acknowledged by our President in recent sessions of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was related to electricity. In particular, while discussing future plans with specific figures, the President emphasized the following: "In the next five years, electricity production must reach at least 80 billion kilowatt-hours, with at least 20% of this coming from renewable energy sources. Additionally, by 2020, 7 million electricity consumers and 3.5 million natural gas consumers should be accounted for, and the government must take necessary measures to ensure they are connected to an automated monitoring system." This issue is directly related to the work of all of us.

The Dean of the "Energy" Faculty at our university, Abdusaid Isakov, spoke on the topic, stating: "Scientific and technical studies on energy resource conservation and the reduction of losses in Yashnobod District, Tashkent, are a reasonable and practical response to the President's calls."

In line with the implementation of the Presidential Decree PD-222 on "Additional Measures to Improve the Efficiency of Energy Resource Use" and the order from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated November 8, 2024, on conducting scientific and technical research on energy resource conservation and loss reduction in Tashkent, professors and teachers from the  of "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University, "Energy" Faculty, A. Isakov and Y. Chulliev, are actively involved in research in Tashkent.

As we all know, in cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Energy, "Uzenergoinspektsiya," and other relevant authorities, a joint decision was made to "effectively organize state control over the use of fuel and energy resources." As a result of this decision, November of this year was declared as "Energy Security Month."

It is our duty to eliminate and prevent cases of illegal use of fuel and energy resources, to use them efficiently and rationally, and to ensure that consumers comply with the rules for using electricity and natural gas.

There are established procedures and regulations in the legislation for cases of illegal energy use in residential areas and by business entities, as well as for unauthorized connections to electricity and gas networks for commercial purposes or acts of theft.
