Conference on “Development of Specialized Higher Education and Science in the Conditions of Globalization: problems and opportunities" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers", scheduled to be held in Tashkent on April 9-10, 2025.

The main goals of the conference are as follows:

• Discuss scientific approaches to improving the efficiency, reliability, and safety of hydraulic and hydro-energy structures.
• Study environmental challenges and explore scientific and practical solutions in the context of climate change.
• Explore opportunities for the effective use of modern equipment and technologies in agriculture and green infrastructure development.
• Present scientific analyses and innovative solutions for improving energy efficiency and utilizing renewable energy sources.
• Enhance the use of mathematical modeling, geodetic, and cartographic methods in land resource management, soil fertility improvement, and cadastral activities.
• Address pressing issues in water management and land reclamation under global climate change and water scarcity, and discuss innovative solutions.
• Define prospects for leveraging the green economy platform in agriculture, irrigation, and water management.
• Strengthen collaboration between science and practice, fostering international and local scientific cooperation across various fields.
• Create a platform for experience exchange among participants and facilitate discussions on new scientific ideas.
• Promote the integration of science, education, and industry in hydraulic engineering, agriculture, land resources, and environmental studies.

The conference committee welcomes scientific articles related to the topics listed above. Participants may present their research through either an oral presentation or a poster session. Submitted articles will undergo expert review, peer evaluation, and, upon acceptance, will be included in the conference proceedings for publication.

We invite researchers, professors, students, master’s students, and specialists interested in the conference topics to submit their scientific articles for consideration. The Conference Scientific Committee will review and select articles through a peer-review process and recommend them for presentation.

Important Guidelines

When preparing the article, adhere to the following key guidelines:

·         All articles must align with the scope of the conference.

·         A single author may submit no more than two articles, including those co-authored with others.

Article Formatting

·         Margins: 2 cm on all sides.

·         Font: Times New Roman, size 12.

·         Title: Bold, uppercase, centered, and must not exceed 12 words.

·         Line spacing: Single.

·         Paragraph indentation: 1 cm.

·         If the article is in Uzbek, it must be written in the Latin alphabet.

·         UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) should be aligned to the left.

·         Author's full name: Italicized, centered.

·         Academic degree, title, and position.

·         Email address.

·         Full name of the affiliated institution.

·         Abstract and keywords must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English.

·         After these details, the main body of the article follows.

·         References section.

Article Structure:

·       The article must include the author(s) and the name(s) of the organization(s) (with a full address, including the country).

·       All articles must contain an abstract.

·       All figures and tables must be numbered in the correct order. Please ensure that figure/table numbers are not repeated or skipped.

·       Figures must be clear enough to be readable and should be placed within the text rather than as an appendix at the end.

·       If section headings are numbered, ensure they follow a sequential numerical order without any repetitions or missing numbers.

·       The numbering of equations must follow the standard format, i.e., (1), (2), (3), etc., and within sections, it should be (1.1), (1.2), etc. Each equation must have a unique number, without repetition or omissions.

·       The accuracy of the references list must be verified. References can only be linked via CrossRef if they are correct and complete.

·       If references are numbered (Harvard system), each reference must have a unique number, with no repetitions or missing numbers.

·       All citations in the text must correspond to a reference, and all references must be cited in the text.

·       Most importantly, ensure that the article complies with English language standards and that the text is clear and concise.

·       The article should be structured using the following sections:

·         Introduction/Relevance

·         Objective/Tasks

·         Methodology

·         Results

·         Conclusions

·         Originality

Submitted articles must be original works written in the authors' own words. Plagiarism includes using others' ideas without citation, copying text from external sources without proper attribution or quotation marks, or submitting an entire article under different authorship. Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 30% will be rejected.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The Organizing Committee assigns each submitted article to an independent reviewer who is an expert in the relevant subject area.

Each article is evaluated by an independent expert based on the following criteria:

1.    Relevance to the Conference Topics.

2.    Scientific and Technical Originality, Potential Impact, and Reader Interest.

3.    Scientific and Technical Content, Novelty, and Significance.

4.    Presentation Quality and Clarity of Content.

5.    Reviewers provide feedback and comments for all authors.

6.    Reviewers confirm their familiarity with the subject matter and evaluate the article based on the above criteria. The Organizing Committee determines which papers are accepted, but the final decision is made by the publisher.

Submitted articles will be checked using specialized plagiarism detection software, and any ethical violations will be taken seriously. Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 30% will be rejected.
