[1] “Enhancing Energy Efficiency in the Building Sector through the Use of Renewable Raw Materials from Agroforestry Systems” (VEGERA) is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The International Climate Initiative is one of the main instruments of the German Federal Government to support international action on climate and biodiversity. IKI supports solutions strategies in developing and developed countries that are striving to achieve sustainable change. The VEGERA project plans to finance the construction of a sustainable model house on the territory of the National Research University of the Republic of Uzbekistan "TIQXMMI". The model house project was presented and developed by an international team, including the University of Sustainable Development Eberswalde in Germany, the National Research University of the Republic of Uzbekistan "TIQXMMI", the International Research Center for Agroforestry (ICRAF), and the Natural Building Laboratory at the Technical University of Berlin.
