[1] “The improvement of energy efficiency in the
building sector through the use of renewable raw materials from agroforestry
systems” (VEGERA) is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The International
Climate Initiative is one of the key instruments of the German Federal
Government to support international climate action and biodiversity. The IKI
supports solution strategies in developing and emerging countries that seek to
achieve sustainable change. “Under VEGERA project, the financing of building a
sustainable model house in the territory of “TIIAME” NRU is planned. The model
house design is developed and design by the international team including
Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Germany, “TIIAME” NRU, International
Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) and Natural Building Lab in
Technical University Berlin, Germany.
