On January 11, 2022 at Joint Research Center for Geoinformatics of “TIIAME” NRU there was organized a scientific seminar for young scientists and basic doctoral students, where a graduate of Australian National University Shukhrat Shokirov  defended his Ph.D thesis on "Remote Sensing and its Applications". At the event nearly 50 young scientists took part.

                   During the presentation Sh. Shokirov gave full information about the latest research in Australia and the world, where he conducted research on GIS and remote sensing, shared experience with  applications. The young researchers, who took part in the seminar not only received complete answers to all their questions, but also identified specific areas for them. Sh. Shokirov made a number of suggestions and recommendations, including organizing a monthly scientific seminar for young scientists in the field, where he expressed his readiness to provide all possible assistance and advice. The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations of the University T. Sultanov expressed his opinion and instructed the Dean of the Faculty of Land Management Sh. Narbaev to invite Shukhrat Shokirov to work at the Department of Geoinformatics.
